Uni. of Texas, Houston; Dallas!! - enigma180

Anyone familiar with these programs for Family Medicine and if not how about these programs in general for any speciality like Int. Medicine???

Both have pretty reputable names and are uni. programs however don't both have most rotations in huge county hospitals which are in bad neighborhoods..where you get worked really hard. Some American grads. have told me they are not very good for whatever reason..

Can anyone clear this up?

Hi enigma, i interviewd there for IM. I like the program alright but they didnt take us to visit the other hospitals so didnt see them first hand.
I too have heard about it being mailgnant , also that they dont match very well for fellowships esp GI and cardiology. I was going to rank it high....dont know what to do now....do you have any more info on this?
