Please tell me your clinical research has been in areas related to FM.
You have awesome research experience, it may help you in securing some IVs.
FM also tends to look for hands-on clinical experience and look for LORs from FM physicians.
Have you applied in FM before and got interviews?

Iowa, Thanks for your assessment! Your advice is very helpful!

I have been doing basical biologic research. Never applied before.

I will get LORs from FM/ IM/ SURGERY physicians.

Ok good. Whatever the challenges are, just remember that you need just 1 interview to impress and match.
The system is not biased against age, rather they look for people with current clinical experience (or fresh out of school, where they too have had their Sub-I etc).
You obviously have good interraction skills based your work so you should be fine interview prep wise. Goodluck.
