is doing ACLS or BLS or PALS.... or such courses of any help in getting residency. i mean do the programme directors give any preferance to these... and in turn to me b'coz of these???? anyone please give me ur honest opinion... thank you in advance

well, i dont think Pd's give any preference if u have done the course...as most of the programs offer this course before residency begins..the only advantage is that u will get a day or two off of u have already taken the course...to move and other things. this was told to me by one of the interns during my interview.

It has no benifet in getting residency, but it has benifet for you!
