Research or Observership. - nina1

Please, give me some advice on what to do.
I have applied for residency this year, done with most of the IVs, now preparing for step 3 but I would like to do an observership or research in the meantime. It looks like it is very difficult to get an obververship or research these days. What can I do, how to apply, who to contact. So far I had no luck.
Any advice is appreciated.

short gap research at this time isnt going to render you any publication. So observership is a better option if this is to bid your time waiting for match results.
Why dont you just concentrate on your step 3?

What about the programs you interviewed. can you observe there?
