I should rank the program I prefer more , as first (program x) (regardless of my chances)
For example, If they do not rank me High and the another program Y ranks me high
My chances are still good?

Thats correct. You can read it on NRMP website how match works.
They explain it pretty well.
Match is more favorable to candidates than programs.
Always rank your fav prog first regardless of chances.

think of it as your day...You are the king.. rank programs as you like, that's all that matters for now.
