sigmoid colon/distal colon - sunnybacha

so in FA sigmoid colon is said to have an apple core lesion and in uworld DISTAL colon is said to have NAPKIN RING like lesion, and when i googled them both, they both have the same picture.
Any insights?

i remember them being as the same lesion. found in colorectal ca. affecting the sigmoid colon causing stenosis.

so on contrast studies you see the stenosed colon and only the stenosed colon, call it an apple core sign.
if you think of the stenosed colon as a napkin then the ring is what surrounds the colon.

"they are the same thing" wouldve been suffice. idk why i typed all that. Tongue
