Hello everyone please advice me.... I have all the negative point for match...... I am an old grad more than 11....5 years gap in cv... low step 1 score. At this point should I proceed for step 2 ? If not what are my options? Only plus point I have is I'm an US citizen. Please please give some advice........

forget about match. go for some certification courses or MPH, MBA etc. you are US citizen so you can get federal jobs too

Hey Oldi,

I don't think all is necessarily lost if your heart is set on getting into a residency program, although on the surface the stats you have are not great. I think that the chance of you succeeding is in the details of your numbers. What have you been doing for the past 11+ years (clinical medicine/research vs something completely different)? What about during the 5 year gap? How low was you Step 1 score? What specialty are you hoping to get into?
