How to prevent losing ‘waived LOR’ if not applying - aca14
#1
Hi Everyone,

Appreciate if you can please help. I have applied for past two matches with no success (2011, 2013) despite good scores, research experience and USCE (2011) with American LORs. I wish to apply for 2015 match afresh with more clinical experience and not this year.

However, I was thinking of applying at least one program in 2014, because:
1) My previous LORs were waived the right to see it. If I don’t apply I will lose them and would not be able to use them for 2015 match. They were from American doctors.
2) I will not have to send the documents including MSPE again.

At the same time, I am worried that it will make me a repeat applicant!

I need your advice on this matter.

Do you think it is good idea to apply in 2014 to retain the LORs, MSPE ? or Do you think it would decrease my chances for 2015 match by being a repeat applicant?

Thanks in advance
