If the programs do not require Step 3, wait until you start to take it. I know a friend who tried to take it during interview season and failed it. Now if he doesn't match this year, he'll be in bad shape next year.

If you are doubtful of matching this year then do what is needed to improve your CV for next year..

I'm finding it hard to look for USCE, any suggestions? I live in California and I don't have much options here. I'd need to go out of state, maybe?
