Hi all, Just wanted to share my happiness. I received my score today and passed 208. I gave my exam on Aug 11th and 12th . The waiting was horrible especially when you know you did horrible in the exam. The only advice I want to give is : Please don't kill yourself over this exam. Try to study sincerely with your full heart. Do your best and you will be rewarded. Trust in God! He will never leave you alone! All your hard works will be paid ! Be nice to each other and respect elderly specially your parents and in- laws...the beginning of blessings starts here. Good Luck to all !!!

Congrats on passing! Could you perhaps share with us how you spent the last few weeks studying for this exam, and how each exam day was like for you?

Congratulations december2013!
Did you do any nbme and uwsa? Were they close to your actual step 3 result?
Also how did your CCS performance turn out compared to how you think you did in the exam?
Thank you!

hopetomatchsoon -----> Last 2 weeks : started with my 2nd round of UW. Daily 2-3 blocks, some days just one block depends on the performance in each block. Also did 3-5 cases per day. 9 days before my test, did UWSA: 222. 3 days before: stopped doing the UW (had some 8-10 blocks left) and started with reading all the notes I made from UW. 2 days before exam did all the FRED ccs cases at least twice ( I have done these cases before as well while doing archer ccs, --> Dr. Red used these as the template). 1 day before exam: finished all the notes from UW.
Exam Day 1 : felt really hard and I had no clue what they were asking in most of the ques. The reality is that's how everyone will feel, specially when you struggle with hard ques, you tend to remember those hard ones after your exam when in fact the easy ones we tend to mark quick and move forward and we don't even remember any easy ques. Well, after my day 1, I even thought of not going for the day 2. I was very upset and felt like I failed. Thanks to my husband, his support gave me some courage to face day2. Now day 2 MCQ's were much better than day 1, probably I felt good since there weren't any biostatics and no drug ad. Now CCS ---> well, Dx was not a problem, but management was a struggle and few cases I messed up with sequencing and forgot few tests here and there. Almost all the cases I had some problems and felt very bad about my overall performance. Also, I had big time problem with "whether to discharge the pt or not". All my cases ended before time, except one case where I had no clue what else had to be done and it ended at the 18th min.
After day 2 , I concluded that I failed the exam. Today, when I saw my results I pinched myself ... what if I am dreaming. Well, Iam so happy that I passed. Thank God !

sun2012---> I did UWSA and got 222, I did not do any NBME. My CCS graph is better than what I expected : 2 xx below borderline and then crossing the borderline 7 xxxxxxx to the right side.
Make sure to read all the explanations in UWSA...since I remember few concepts similar to UWSA.

do you fail a case if you manage the patient in the wrong location or take them to wrong location and relocate them to right location. Also, when order an invasive when not needed or a harmful procedure where the program says 'after talking amongst family...test denied', even though you did okay on managing the patient overall with right diagnosis?
