S.epidermidis with in 60 days of valve replacment
strep. viridance after 60 days of replacment

B-hemolytics
Bacitracin senstive

toxin mediated________ pharyngitis,skin inf,scarlet fever,toxic shock syndrome
antibodies mediated ____________RF, acute post streptococa lglomerulonephrits

ttt____pencillin G,

If resistant use pinicillinase resistant peniciln (nafcicllin)
if allergic use erythromycin
if invasive use clindamycin

same as S.pyogen BUT Bacitracin resistant

Neonatal infections __________ neonatal meningitis,pnumonia, sepsis
elderly infections >65 esp those with diabetes or neurological ds (immuno _ve)

ttt________-same as S.pyogen +aminoglycoside OR cephalosporin

ampicillin prevention in pregnant female tested +ve
