Those who took step 3, PLEASE HELP! -

Please, I REALLY need to know how soon you can usually take step 3 after you get your ECFMG certificate. What I need to know is 1-how long does it take for the permit to come; 2-how soon can you schedule a date to take the exam.
Any response is appreciated.

Immed after getting ECFMG cert, apply...my permit took 1.5 weeks to come, but avg time is 2 weeks+.

2.
Sch date is diff in most areas, but you can get a slot away from cities, go for it...
Rem: No exams in Jan first 2 weeks....So quick...
