#1
Test 1: A digital rectal exam
According to the different degree of disease, this test can help doctor know the conditions of prostate gland, generally speaking, the shape and quality will be changed if there has infection. After test, your doctor will be able to evaluate whether the prostate gland is enlarged or tender, which provides the evidence of curing the disease. By the way, if the doctor is still not sure what you have, further test like a transrectal ultrasound or biopsy is necessary.

Test 2: A prostate fluid analysis
This test is done on the purpose of finding the signs of infection. Your doctor may evaluate whether you have prostatitis or not by observing the numbers of white blood cells and lecithin corpuscle. However, a prostate fluid analysis is not the absolute way for your doctor except he or she takes other measures such as bacterial culture at the same time. Otherwise, it seems to be different to define the classification of the prostatitis.

Test 3: Voiding studies

If you doctor suspects that you have prostatitis or another prostate problem, he or she may refer you to an urologist, who specializes in the diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system to confirm the diagnosis. When the symptoms such as pain or burning during urination, difficulty urinating; or frequent urge to urinate appears, it means that you may at the risk of the prostatitis.
