So according to Revised guidelines for J1, we dont need a bond. Is that right?
Atleast this is the impression I got after reading this document.

I think the link you posted is for people who are re-applying for SON or to get it extended. If you read the first 3 lines carefully it says - "Candidates applying for Statement of Need (SON) certificate... ... ... ...who have earlier been issued such certificates prior to 26.03.2013:"

I think we need to get this done quickly cuz we're already a bit short of time..
