I have not gone through the app process so not sure how to phrase this question:

I was wondering how uploading the LORS work? If I'm applying to for example, IM and FM can I get 4 LORS in each, upload all 8 and only attach the FM LORS to my FM application and only attach the IM lors to my IM application? Or can I only upload 4 and send only those 4 to all the programs so they'll know I'm applying to 2 specialities? I obvi don't have 8 lors but was wondering in general how that part of the application works?

yes, exactly right
u can upload as much as u like, but in each appl. specified for a specialty u allowed to assign up to 4 which preferably has the same specialty

Is it the same way with personal statements? Can I write one geared towards IM and the other targeting FM, upload both and assign the relevant one to the appropriate application? Thanks!
