I matched to a residency program in Maryland.
Do I need temporary state medical licence or trainee license before we start
residency in the state of Maryland?

You don't need a license, but the chief of service of your program needs to register you as an 'unlicensed medical practitioner' within 30 days of initiation of the contract.
