yes it is possible within same hospital " if they like you" . i know people have done it.

@usmlestep56 : Programs have to follow ACGME guidelines and there is NO WAY that 1 year of FM = 1 year of IM or vice versa. So the information you have posted for the OP is incorrect and misleading.

Sure they can in the same hospital. I know someone who went from FM to OBGYN

No you cannot. FM and IM are far from the same programs; and ACGME does not consider a year of FM as a PGY1 year of IM. You will have to apply through ERAS for a PGY1 spot in IM and start over. Sorry Sad
