@usmlestep56 : Programs have to follow ACGME guidelines and there is NO WAY that 1 year of FM = 1 year of IM or vice versa. So the information you have posted for the OP is incorrect and misleading.

No you cannot. FM and IM are far from the same programs; and ACGME does not consider a year of FM as a PGY1 year of IM. You will have to apply through ERAS for a PGY1 spot in IM and start over. Sorry
