There is a chance with your profile.... you need step 3. Realistically, your chances are slim. If you build contacts, you can GREATLY improve your chances.

any attempts?
is there a reason you chose not to apply to residency the last 12 years? any program director would ask, why now? Why did you decide to apply for residency 12 years after becoming ecfmg certified?

What has changed since then?
Are you a citizen or GC holder now and weren't in 2007? Observerships or Externships ? Have you made any contacts?

kash_md one interview I got in 2010 I am a citizen now---in 2007 I had gc also got an interview ---in 2006--it was a DO program and they were starting residency for MD for the 1st time----- I gave up for 3 yrs and thought of doing mph etc but money I am making as program director of a health care program is same as an attending physician but the pain inside ---not of practicing is still there and now finally decided to do it with full throttle no observerships/externships-------

Congrats on your successful career and perseverance.
No difference be GC and U.S. Citizen so that doesn't help you. Outside of a really strong contact, it's will be ever more difficult as more time has elapsed. Unfortunately the match has gotten much more competitive, and passing usmle scores much much higher. Good luck
