I have a lor from February 2015. Sould I update the date on the letter and go back to the doctor to have it signed or it is ok to keep it on February?

Also, the same lor is recommending me for Family Medicine, but I am applying to IM as well, is this ok or should I ask for a generic one?

leena u can use even 2-3 yr old letters. not a problem. better if updated but ...feb is fine i guess

Thanks for the reply. I had lost hope anyone will get back to me.
I told my family doctor about my situation and she said she offers 6 weeks observerships to students, so I joined but you can drop by any medical practice and ask.
