How well I have to know Step 2 before taking CSA -
#1
Steps

I passed Step 1 and am preparing for Step 2. Because of the transition of CSA, I want to take CSA before Step 2. Could anybody tell me how well I have to know step2 materials in order to pass CSA. Thanks a lot!

You probably do not have to know step2 contents for CSA. All you need to pass CSA is to take Kaplan 5-day-course and to practice with your friends. So you can try CSA before Step2

Thank you so much for your information. But in term of Differetial Diagnosis, how can I prepare if I have not prepared step 2?

Again, thanks very much!

Well, Differential diagnoses are also in Kaplan textbook, but I guess differential is not a big deal. Because you can give any differentials. All the information you need is in Kaplan textbook. I think the most important thing to pass is time management. They teach you excellent mnemonics so that you do not get panic during the exam. It is extremely hard to deal with CSA without taking the course, even if you are an excellent physician.
