Hi guys. I'm getting ready to apply for my usce, but I wanna apply in a specialty I might have a chance of matching to for residency. Any advice please? Internal medicine? (specific areas if any) or Surgery?(best possible chance if any)? P. S. I m an IMG. Thx. Looking forward to your replies

Highest likelihood of matching is in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and psychiatry. Surgery is very hard for IMGs.

#3 Peds and PSYCH can be #2 or #3
Prematches are in IM and PEDs

FM are friendly for those with green card or short YOG. Otherwise I do not think it is that easy for IMG as IM
psychiatry probably cares less about USMLE scores, but is designed for those with particular passion in taking care of patients with mental disorders
Surgery is hard to match
