Greater Baltimore Medical Center vs. MedStar Baltimore (Union Memorial/Good Sam/Franklin Square)

Both are community programs in Baltimore. GBMC is a primary program affiliated with Hopkins with rotations in Hopkins Medical Center and Bayview. On the other hand, MedStar has loose affiliations with Georgetown; away rotations available. Both are good programs. Just want to know if you guys have other opinions between these two.

Farrukmunir: Thank you sir. I have MedStar ranked before GBMC. Any reasons as to Why you like Med star?

Both are okay programs. Medstar Union memorial has low ABIM pass rates and more work load as opposed to GBMC. GBMC is a primary care program and the resident who did the hospital tour wasn't too excited about the program and mentioned 'it may not be the program for you if you want fellowship.'

They are pretty much the same. That doesn't mean they are great thou.
