respiratory distress afte birth,scaphoid abdomen,
x-ray bowel loops in the chest compressing the lung and shifting the medistinum and i forget to mention that we have to insert an NG tube so we will see the tip of the NG tube in the chest.
Mxtabilise the patient and avoid ambu bagging and prepare for operation....

--we do not operate it first day . we keep the pt on ecmo to give time for lung to mature and and operate after some day

The purpose of NG tube is to drain the stomach content for easy operatability. It is not for diagnostic purposes. Chest x-ray and sono are enough diagnostic tools.. Alibism
