Hi..I want to know if any one on H4 visa is planning to travel to India before starting residency and whose H4 visa stamping is to be done. I want to know will it be safe to travel, any chances of visa getting stuck?

Yes it is one of the safest visa to travel on (as long as it is valid to at least 3 months after your arrival date and your primary H1 holder has a valid visa). But how are you planning to start residency if you are on coming back on H4, if you dont mind me asking?

I am on the same boat, i am on H4 visa no stamping, Planing to do change of status from h4 to J1 from india.I need help tooo

@favo did the programs know about EAD? or did you have to explain it to them that you can work on EAD?
because i am on EAD now, dont know when we get greencard, so i would like to know for future purpose. thank you

one program did know about H4 EAD and the others just wanted to know if you have EAD and that you will not visa sponsor. They were fine with it
