Archer live CCS workshop or pay per view workshops - ar18
#1
Hello. I want to take Step 3 in June before entering residency and have been trying to figure out the best way to study for CCS. I already have UWorld CCS but a lot of people seem to like Archer for CCS. I saw there is a live workshop on May 7th and was wondering if attending the live CCS workshop is better than getting the pay per view of past recorded workshops. Thanks for any input!

Hi Ar18, yes archer ccs is very good . I have pay per view videos that I am doing and from what I heard, those are more comprehensive than live CCS session

I would do the pay per view of past recorded workshops. There are more cases they go through. The first three hours of both the pay per view and the live lectures will have the same prerecorded lecture where he goes over CCS strategies. Go for the pay per view.

You have to practice a lot on your own too. Not only knowing how to use the software but also how to manage your patient in different settings and different conditions.

Thanks for the replies! I emailed Archer support and they said that the pay per view seems to be the preferred choice over the live workshop. Still kind of undecided though because being able to do a case with live critiques seems like a very helpful alternative.

ar18, i finished the archer ppv already and it's very helpful when you are practicing cases on your own on uw. If you are a live person and likes live feedback from Dr Archer go for the live web session

nkumar...seems like there are two packages, the one that says intense prep has 80 different cases so a lot of different ccs workshops. In the smaller package, 25 cases in 3 workshops ...so it seems at least different cases in each workshop
