I think pt controlled iv morphine is only given in end-stage cancer diseases for aplliation, where the risk of dependence is not so much.

the other choices didn't sound correct to me, that's why I thought fentanyl.

What is the correct answer and why? Do you know?

i don't know the answer.
Transcut fentanyl shd be for chronic pain I guess.
Normally morphine is given for post op pain. I don't know why they have added the condition: patient controlled. Probably for better adjustment of dose?

Pls note "Transcuteneous" Fentanyl
For transdermal Fentanyl have effect it takes 18-24h
That 'll drive pt crazy w pain
So Morphin IV 's a better choice
