Can anyone suggest as to how does one get access to J1 application after logging on to OASIS.

you don't have to log on to OASIS to access the J-1 application materials.

you start by going to EVSP: http://www.ecfmg.org/evsp/index.html

specifically you want to download (under) Checklists & Applications - the ACGME-Accredited Clinical Training Programs - http://www.ecfmg.org/evsp/evspicln.pdf

this is assuming you're talking about ACGME-accredited residency programs.

Thanks Quirky but what i actually wanted to know was how to access the status of ur J1 application through OASIS having filed the J1 at ecfmg.Any suggestions on that.

Yes. If you are currently sponsored by ECFMG or have filed a sponsorship application with ECFMG, you can access information such as:
Status of current application(s);
Current DS-2019 Information;
Dependent information; and
Correspondence.

sorry, i guess i'm not much help here... i just logged into my own account, and as far as i can tell, i don't have any new tabs or buttons giving me access to my j-1 visa status... but then again, my fees haven't been taken from the account yet, so maybe there'll be new stuff later.

either way, i'm not sure, sorry.

you're right. http://www.usmleforum.com/forum/message.php?id=81374&Page=2 (from pages 2 and 3); i guess once ECFMG updates your info/etc, you'll have access to more tabs in OASIS.

if you think your application should be 'in progress' by now, you should probably call ECFMG to ask...

here it is.... you can acces the information regarding status of ur j1 application, only after ecfmg recieves your application material from tpl....
in your OASIS account they creat a section j1 application status...
quirky... would u mind sharing when your paperworks reached ecfmg??? for me its a week now, no change in fin. account... j1 status says no application on file....

quirky.... what does the status shown for you... for me even after one week it says no application on file.... there are people who got it approved within 5-10 days of recieving application...
amnach... you should be able to open j1 application information section on your OASIS...
