what exactly do you need help with?

can you survive? of course.

should you go back? only if you want to.

what should you do? evaluate what you really want. if you want to get into a residency, feeling tense/depressed/hopeless is not going to help. the only thing that will help you, is to start working on your application, that and trying to work through your fears.

Do some USCE like observership and if u can find time and oppurtunity go for some research too in the US. Try to get excelent LOR's and apply on sept 1st. Apply in small programs, I am sure u will get some residency. If you have time then give step 3 and and try to score good. Also in your interviews and CV you should have a good reason for not doing anything since 99. best of luck
