it depends on the program, the state, and your personal/tax circumstances. but yes, it usually is in or around that figure.

personal/tax circumstances include federal/state/social security taxes, insurances, etc.

WHAT ARE YOU SERIOUS...ALL THE MONEY WE SPENT ON THE EXAM AND ALL THE HARD HOURS STUDYING FOR USMLE AND ALL THOSE YEARS IN MED SCHOOL..WE GET 2200 A MONTH!!!!

PEOPLE WHO WORK AS GARBAGE PICKERS OR AS A GAS STATION CASHIER GET MORE!

i am not the only person interested in general surgery other ppl are too...i just needed to know what kind of scores are needed to be matched...thats all..is there anything wrong in that?

3800/month salary in papers (u know americans know how to boast in terms of salary)
1600/month --tax
2200 in hand (this is the real salary,, u know they don't want to tell you the real salary of 2200. U know why ? read the first line). sucks.
