I waived the right to see my LORs and left it entirely up to my preceptors to write a strong LOR for me and trusted them to be enthusiastic about my career advancement.
However, I was going through patient notes in one of the hospital computers and happened to come across an unfinished piece of LOR written by one of the senior physicians for a student. I suppose he meant well but the letter was short, full of grammatical errors. Eventhough it was concluded with " XX has my highest recommendation" the strength of this letter is so doubtful. He may be a wonderful physician but is such a horrible writer!
It makes me wonder what my letter will be like.
Anyone encountered preceptors who was happy to give you a strong letter, only to find that it is majorly flawed during the interviews?
