they read PS before sending invitations. good PS can secure you an interview and help overcome red flags

it really depends on the program, some already invite people.
regarding PS, it depends on the program and reviewer. I had couple interviews last year and no one read my PS or any of my info until I was sitting in front of them.
But some programs want to get to know you. I heard some would see your profile on FB or other social media, so make sure you don't post something stupid for them to see.

@zlatka don't underestimate the power of the PC. That's who could have likely read your PS, and some of the others may have just grabbed the paperwork the morning of and filtered as they could.

Will they view PS directly on the system (likely chance of reading recent updated PS, even after minor changes by applicant) or PS on printed paper ( no guarantee, they print updated PS or printed PS on day 1 itself)?
