I have an interview for Externship coming up. Should I wear a suit just like a residency interview?

It depends on the location. If suit is overdressed for externship interview, it is same for residency interview also.

if Ties are not compulsory during hospital work, as i heard, Even then it is prefered to wear Tie OR Suit during an interview.?? thanks
