Is this true? How many interviews have people been getting this year?

Thats pretty b*llsh*t, people spend years of their life and money and everything to get residency. Imagine spending everything you have including time and money and not even get a chance?

There will be a doctor shortage of 90,000 physicians and people are struggling to get residency, it doesn't make sense. This is beyond retarded.

The reason people with "average" scores aren't getting interviews is because there are so many more people get excellent scores. Think about it. If you have to choose someone to fill a spot at your company, are you going to interview the best people you can, or are you going to overlook the people with excellent qualifications to interview mediocre applicants?

There may be a shortage of physicians, however, there are only so many funded residency positions in the U.S. If you are an IMG, it will become more and more difficult to obtain a residency position in the U.S. - there are more AMG's each year as new medical schools open. This is the reality of the situation. Life is never fair.
