Bottom line is never loss hope, do hard work, try to nail step3 and USCE if old grad.

Did you need visa? Also was your pg training from your home country the same as the specialty you matched in?

Doc_new I masters one technique and than collaborated with other researchers . By this way I did some work for them and they put my name on papers. Tricky but possible if you are working in Harvard.

My credentials: step 1 low 230s/ CK planned next month/ CS 1st attempt/YOG 2011/US-citizen.
No USCE, No research, Obviously a blank page. Did Surgery intern home country, 4 years gap working in trucking industry. Hopelessly finding a way to cover my gap as well as the changing in interest. Sad
