Question regarding 7 year score validity - oldgrade10

Hello Everyone

I gave my step 1 in 2010 and failed. Recently I have finished step 1, 2 and CS and passed them without any attempt. My question is that in June, it has been 7 year since I gave step 1. So when I apply for residency this year in September, will my 2010 failed attempt still count as attempt or not?

Please give me your opinion on this. It will really helpful to me.

NOT AT ALL. your 7 year count starts from the date you passed your First step exam whether step1, step2 or stepCS. check rules from Bulletin of information. Good luck

Thank you for answer. Its very confusing. I still didnt get if it is count as an attempt when I apply even though failed attempt score validity probably expire after seven years.

7 years count starts from your first usmle exam which is passed. pl call ecfmg to clarify.
