Illinois License Question - eastcoastresident
#1
https://www.medicallicensuregroup.com/states/

According to this website:

"No more than 4 unsuccessful attempts total (for Steps I - III). Further education, experience or remedial training required if not passed in designated number of attempts."

So if you are a resident, and have 5 attempts, and want to do a fellowship in Chicago, are you screwed?

Thx

I know it says: "Further education, experience or remedial training required if not passed in designated number of attempts.""

Just wondering if anyone knew how flexible they might be?

And on this website it says:

5 attempts at all USMLE Steps combined; 5 attempts at COMLEX Levels combined

So I'm confused....

""No more than 4 unsuccessful attempts total (for Steps I - III)."

I just realized it says 4 UNSUCCESSFUL attempts, so failures. Therefore, this does not include "passed" attempts. So if you fail 3 exams, you are good?

I need everyone out there's advice

YOG 2009
Step 1 218
Step 2 CK 220
Step 2 CS Passed- second attempt

I applied to family medicine and did not get any interviews.

Will step 3 help my application?
Will USCE help?
Or am I being filtered out?
