Hey, guys, I have 6 LORS, 2 from teaching hospital observerships, 2 from private clinic observerships, and 2 from the clinic I work at which is affiliated with an FM residency program. My plan is to do FM and my second choice is IM or peds. the work I'm doing in my clinic is usually t taking care of pts with chronic conditions like DM, COPD, HTN and giving them Education, verifying their meds, and helping them make a self-management goal to control their condition. I also do a lot of work in quality improvement like HEDIS/UDS E.T.C. I'm involved with many projects in population health as well. Do you guys think that the work I'm doing in the clinic is better then the externships or should i do an externship as well?

You can talk about your clinic work as additional experience during interviews. It is best to go for a hospital externship in an ACGME accredited program. It would be beneficial to use the 2 hospital LoRs you have already gained in addition to a new externship rotation.
