Q re: Psychiatry/neurology residencies. - dralex
#1
I've been told that when you apply for Psychiatry or Neurology residency programs you need a curtain amount of hours spent in these two subjects in the medical school (number of hours that you have in your credentials) and if you have less then needed you need to do some rotation i Psychiatry to get the needed amount to hours in order to apply. To make it more clear: a friend of mine was trying to apply for Neurology residency in California and he had been told that he didn't have enough time (hours) of Psychiatry in the medical school and that he needs to spent one year rotation in Pshych Dept and then he can apply. Is that true? And if so, where can i find out the requirements?

Thanx.
