can any one explain me what is observship mean exactly ? is it really helpfull getting residency position having some months or year observship ? and is is something to be registered or just presence in hospital and following rounds is enough to claim having observship . also does an IMG doctor need to pass usmle steps to do an observship or upon arrival to US can anyone do observship and beside it doing his steps ? is it doable in surgery positions? what is the cost of doing observship if there is any ? any input appreciated
