ERAS application: Prior residency training heading - paedimg
#1
Hello, i have a question. where should we list as our prior residency training if done outside US? last year we could mention it under current/prior training, but this year, under this heading , its showing option for ACGME/AOA residency, which is not in our case as our residency is from our own country. should we then put it under work experience? but then PD wouldnt see it as our prior training. Please help, thanks

I would say call ERAS help desk and ask them.

I would assume that unless they set a filter for "work experience", PD Would review the ERAS application in it's entirety.

I think it will be contact ECFMG regarding this information.

Ok, so I spoke with ERAS first, they diverted me to ECFMG, and finally got to speak with ERAS support services.

The lady said if your previous training was paid, then it has to be listed under work experience.
If not paid, then under voluntary
and the Training tab--select None.

Hope this helps.
Someone can double check it too.
Good luck!
