Should I apply or Wait for the Scramble/SOAP? - par469

I have applied to 20 programs just today


- Obviously I am late in my application - How many programs should I apply, now ?
- The PDs may have stopped screening for new applicants, RIGHT?

Should I merely wait for the Scramble/SOAP to begin?

There will be some programs which will be still accepting the applications, look at the deadline of the application and apply to those programs. If you dont get any IVs you can apply for SOAP as you have already applied main residency match. Also, you need to have registered with NRMP before applying to SOAP.

If you apply late for the match the chances will be very less to get IV invites. Also, as you have already applied for main residency match you can apply for SOAP match.
