Step 1 pass/fail reporting & ecfmg 2023 rule - ecg1001
#1
How would the new step 1 2022 reporting system (Pass/Fail reporting instead of 3-digit numeric score) affect IMGs?

Also, my questions for the "ecfmg 2023 rule":

If my medical school doesn't become accredited by WFME in 2023,

1. Am I still eligible to sit for usmle exams (Step 1, Step 2 CK or CS) in 2023?

2. If I am not eligible to sit for usmle exams in 2023 (due to lack of my medical school's accreditation), by when I must complete all the requirements for ECFMG certification (passing Step 1, step 2 CK/CS and credentials verified)?

3. If I pass all my usmle exams and credentials are verified by December 2022, will I still be issued an ECFMG certificate in 2023?

Thank you in advance.

If your medical school doesn't accredited by WFME then you cannot participate in ECFMG.
