hi,
is it true that to get a position in a university based program, you have to get above 90 in both steps?and if this is true, does it mean that those who got 89 or 88 dont have any chance???

Getting a position in most programs is not simply a matter of your scores alone. though various programs have certain score minimums, at the end of the day it is the entire package you present to them that carries the day i.e COMBINATION of scores, cv, ps, LOR and finally selling yourself on interview day. If you approach the whole process in this way you can get into a significant number of programs irrespective of whether it is community or university based. In summary these programs are interested in the overall package you present (except for some who already prescreen you based on scores). Prescreening based on scores is not neccessary based on whether the program is uni or community.
