pl. advice if possible!! -

My step 1 scores are extremely low....77. Now if I take step 2 in November as I am trying to take lot of time to get decent score in step 2. If I get step2 score above 85 then what are my chances to get into match/postmatch 2004?? I have a green card!!! I want to apply for Family Practice.

Also, does gap between step 1 and step 2 really matters? I don't have any experience in USA...and am 99 graduate.

Thanks!!

Do as well as you can in Step 2. Try to meet some family practice physicians (I find that FP physicians from my native country have been very helpful to me), volunteer at a family practice clinic. Your scores count, yes, but not for everything. It is the same in the US as every other country - its not what you know, but WHO you know! If you show enough determination to do these things, you will have more offers.
