hello all ,
i just finished my mbbs from india i want to join internal medicine in usa . i jsut started preparaion for usmle step1 .
i wan t to ask:
1)upto wat time i sud pass my step1 ,step2 and csa exams to get admission in the yr2005?
2)how much score is required in each step for internal medicine?
3)wat will be the fee structure in govt added hospital for residency in internal medicine?
4)is it true if u r a resident u get a scholarship/stipend every month ?is it enough to cover up all the expenses for an img?
5)is it easy to get visitor's visa for csa and h1 visa for residency? how can i improve my chances of getting visas?
plz write me. i know my questions r quite basic but i dont have much idea about usa and usmle.thanx in advance to all of u.

hello all of u once again,
i just compele ted mbbs from india with average marks.
i just started preparartion 4 usmle step1. i dont have much idea about usa and usmle.can anyone please tell me :
1)how much money needed in terms of rupees for preparation ,examination fees ,other expenses like travelling to usa and staying in usa for csa and step 3?
2)can i apply in universities just after step 1?
3)what is the importance of step3?
4)how can i apply in different universities ?is there any centalise d system for matching?
5)r admissions in md open throuhout the year ?or is there any
deadline date for admissions for particular year?
6)is there any time /month in which the chances of getting admission is quite high?
7)what is the avereage interview fee,admission fee and yerly fee in universities per year?
8)do all residents get stipend/scholarship in each university?r the stipend /scholarships r enough to cover all the expenses and tuition feee?
9)is there any website or any book in which all the informations given ?

About the monthly stipend, dont forget to factor in a 30% tax on it if unless u r on J1, in which case u dont owe any taxes. So u end up with not more than 2000$ per month in hand
