Hello, algernon, we are all waiting for your news. If I remembered correctly, you got a prematch offer two weeks ago. What is going on here? Accepted it?

When does programs give prematch? Is it after they are done with all interviews or the same day you go for interview? Please help I do not know?

algernon,

We are looking forward to your good news. Once you decide, don't forget to tell Wisconsin, Brown, Indiana, Oklahoma, NIH... ... that you will withdraw from match. We will really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot!

Got my 1st interview last week at U of Wisconsin. Someone cancelled so they invited me..... any info about the interview?

compare SUNY downstate and Wash U at st. louise

Which one would you pick?

I interviewed at downstate and will go to wash u next month for interview.
Just want to know how u guys think about these two program in terms of the training they offer. I know that downstate is in brooklyn which is not a desirable location.
My feeling is that wash u emphasize a lot more on research, and downstate more focused on pathology sevice training?

any inputs?

thanks.

and anyone got prematched? congratulations to those got prematched!!!

Do you reaaly want to do a comparison? I believe WU has a higher reputation, not only in research, but also in clinic training...........

Dxm, Thanks for the reply.
I don't know much about reputation of different programs. I dont have any friends who are pathologist. Is there a website or something we can find out how the programs are?

Aduo, I thought you were joking :-)

You can check the websites of USNews:

http://health.usnews.com/health/best-hospitals

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-medical-schools

However, some people care more about the location, rather than the reputation of the program. It depends on what is more important for you.

Aprilmay, Thank you so much!!
Sorry, I really didn't know much about this.
I applied all the programs that might sponsor H1b, didn't think of how to rank them.
