Congrats amfas!!
can you tell us about how you were offered a prematch? was it an email or a phone call? what were you asked? were you given time to respond or did you have to answer immediately. Just want to know how the experience was.

Congrats to amfas and algernon!!!
I have only 3 IVs, and already done with my interviews without prematch offer. May have to go through the match process, but feel hopeless because of the few number of IV. How many of your guys have similar situation? Will 3 IVs be enough to get matched?
Thanks for your input.

I feel the same way. I applied to 31 programs and no invitations, basically wasted my money...

Hey guys! How are you doing. I have been away from the forum after the match came to a close for me.

Anyways I matched at a very nice program...though it's not one in Boston.

I will be more specific once the match is over....anyways in this forum I believe I was the only one interviewing there.

I canceled the following:

U of Maryland
Mayo
Cleveland clinics
SUNY Buffalo
Case Western
Indiana
Wisconsin
Chicago

Good luck ad happy holidays everybody!

Your application to the Pathology Residency Program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital has been received. No further action on your part is required at this time. You will be notified of status of application in the near future.
Sincerely,
what do you guys think of this, it my only hope, I have not heard from them again and this was like a month ago, anybody?

It is just a generic email to acknowledge the receipt of your application. You can call and ask the status of your application if you haven't heard from them.
