never said you applied for other specialties, you will waste all your chances, for IM PD this the only specialties, for OBGYN say I can not do anything else but obgyn,, just say no, only IM or obgyn,

dr_nuri why should you? tell them what you think is important. tell pd that you have many opportunities but you're interested in their hospital. answer questions in ways that help you not hurt you.

"there is nothing wrong in lying for good. He/She can never find out. "

i hope i never work with a person who has the view that it is OK to lie for "good." "Good" for who? So if you lie and make your way into a residency program and take away a spot from some one who is honest and did not lie to get into the program then that is not "good" for the honest person, is it??

Try to have some ethics please. You will be entrusted with people's lives..... not that that is the reason to be honest.

lying is not alright, but you don't have to disclose personal questions that you don't want to. including how many programs you have applied to and where.
