if the Na K pump is inactive , the Na is not even depolarising the membrane, therefore the q of hyperpolarizing does not occur..
hyperpolarizing is when the mmebrane reaches 0mV and then overshoots to about 40mV...is my understanding correct here ?

lucid,you said that kaplan p-44 said it but it said-- if "ungated potassium" channel would be suddenly unavailable----not Na/K pump

No, i wasnt referring to the question there. multivit and me were just discussing Hyperpolarization in general.

can anybody tell me why D is false??????????

when K accumulate in the cell,,the membrane potential go up,and it become more excitable,am i right?
