I don't have the complete list: but some include vincristine, 5-Floro uracil, etopoxide, taxels (doxitaxel), hydroxyurea.....

thanks, but i would like to knew, that all these drugs are acting in which phases of cell cycle.

Jesh, here are the specific phases in w/c they act:
Antimetabolites (e.g. 5 Flourouracil)...............................S Alkaloids (e.g. Doxorubucin, ActinomycinD)....................S and M Vincristine...................................................................M Topo inhibitors (e.g. Etopoxide).....................................S Taxanes (e.g. Docetaxel)..............................................M Hydroxyurea ..............................................................?S (not well known) Az

thanks for ur response.

bleomycin acts in G2 phase

etoposide acts on both G2 and S phase.
correct me if i am wrong.

Ya, makes sense.
In G2,cells are transcriptionaly active and need the Topo II to deal with changing topology during the process. But I think cells need it more during S phase, that may be why thy put it under S-specific. |
